There is enough relationship information on the web for anyone to find solutions to pretty much any problem at any time. So why ANOTHER website devoted to relationships?
Here's four reasons for The Four Relationships:
First, EVERYONE deserves healthy relationships; but, not everyone can afford a personal therapist they meet with on a weekly basis for 50-minute sessions. I enjoy working one-on-one with clients but I want to move beyond the four walls of my office and help others enjoy their relationships to the fullest extent possible. We all need continual work on our relationships and that requires accessible, quality information.
Second, despite the overabundance of relationship content online, sometimes you need to read/hear information in a way that speaks to YOU. My writing is dedicated to simple, relevant, and practical topics. The Four Relationships framework is packaged for application. Taken all together this framework can provide inspiration and guidance for all aspects of your life. If you only have time for bite size principles or are only looking for specific tools, you'll find those here as well.
Third, I want to join a growing number of therapists who aren't keeping life lessons to themselves. I see therapists as one group of "story keepers" in society. We hear much of the difficulty of life and we enjoy the resulting life lessons gleaned through helping people navigate those difficulties. The principles, ideas, and tools I'll share here have been hard earned by struggling individuals. My sole intent in starting this site is to put accurate information into the universe so others can benefit from it the way I have.
Fourth, have you seen the world lately? Holy crap. If our behavior is any indication of what we know about relationships, we could all use an infusion of some healthy principles to nudge us to be a little better to ourselves and one another. I'm hoping to help my small corner of the world be better by driving attention to vital principles of living.
[Secret fifth reason: In the four walls of my office I sometimes feel the pressure to be stuffy and therapist-y. This is a place for me to have some fun, explore new ideas, and to be a bit more chill.]
Accessible, applicable, accurate relationship information that deserves your attention - that's what you'll find here.
If this intrigues you please keep exploring the site!
